DESCRIPTION

Rural tourism is a growing segment and with attractive development opportunities that arise from the ability to respond to some of the emerging trends in tourist demand, preferring forms of mass-less enjoyment and more attentive to the values of nature, culture, wine and food, of the countryside.
Offagna is the only municipality in the Conero Riviera boasting an Orange Flag, the tourist-environmental quality mark conferred by the Italian Touring Club to small municipalities of Italian hinterland (maximum 15,000 inhabitants) which are distinguished by an offer of excellence and reception quality.
Within the panorama of rural tourism, a special role is played from the agritourism of which the valley is dotted and that has suffered in recent years a strong evolution. Ancient small farms, surrounded by a suggestive naturalistic, archaeological, cave exploration and artistic heritage, are enriched with flavour thanks to the presence of numerous and varied agricultural productions that is possible to discover and taste in the local dishes based on local products, DOP, DOC and IGP. The Regional Natural Park of the Conero, in the province of Ancona, is a setting of rare beauty that includes a stretch of coastline and a wide range of hills, characterized by unique panoramic views and an ancient history. The rural houses of the park, many of them centuries old, built of white stone Conero, have been restored according to the principles of green architecture.
