Valle del Cesano e Misa | Marchevolution

“…THESE ARE AMONG THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HAMLETS OF ITALY"

The Valley of Cesano is marked by its river which originates from Catria Mount and marks the border between the provinces of Pesaro-Urbino and Ancona, washing among the others the towns of Pergola, San Lorenzo in Campo, Castelleone di Suasa (from which the ancient name suasanus) Mondavio and Corinaldo. Under the bed of the river a petrified forest of 50 thousand years ago testifies a series of discoveries and excavations of prehistoric and Roman. Instead springs from San Donnino (Genga) the Misa that passing through a predominantly rural area in ancient times dotted with grinding mills for grain, passes through Serra de’ Conti, Arcevia and then has its estuary in Senigallia. This, with its port and the "velvet beach" is the true queen of the district.
