Esino Valley | Marchevolution

"TO THIS DAY THE HUB AT THE BASE OF THE TRANSPORT AND STRATEGIC ENHANCEMENT OF THE MARCHE..."

This valley which unites the provincial capital, Ancona, with the road that passes through Perugia and leads to the capital Rome, is called the "Road of Development" for many important reasons. Firstly, it includes the centres of Jesi and Fabriano (if we consider the Giano and Sentino here together with the Esinio that border the Vallesina on the north with the Gola della Rossa) that have major industries and the largest concentration of manufacturing companies throughout the Marche region. Secondly, because the SS76 is now the road location at the basis of the transport and strategic enhancement of the Marche, with the largest construction site that there is in these recent years: the Quadrilateral. Moreover, if we look at Falconara, where the river Esino flows into the sea after having also passed through Chiaravalle, we can even consider it as the provincial capital city of Ancona's river. In ancient times, the river marked the northern border of the famous Maritime Republic of Ancona. In addition, as one of the largest rivers in central Italy for water flow into the Adriatic Sea, the Esino is important due to its production of energy.
