DESCRIPTION

Lake Fiastra represents the largest hydroelectric reservoir of the Marche, its construction dates back to the fifties with the damming of the river Fiastrone. Besides the importance for the production of electricity is a major tourist attraction for both the location within the National Park of the Sibillini Mountains and for the many activities offered, from boat tour, to two-seater paragliding and walks in next nature trails. Lake Polverina, located in the territory of Camerino, is large artificial reservoir created by the dammed with a dam on the river Chienti for the exploitation of hydroelectric power. Lake Caccamo, along the highway 77, meets what is the second dammed of the river Chienti, created in 1954. This hydroelectric reservoir is located between the towns of Caldarola and Serrapetrona, in the mountain community of the Azzurri Mountains.
