DESCRIPTION

Among the natural reserves, in the woods and meadows there are farms and granges that often occupy farmhouses of the past centuries, properly restored, which has been maintained the original structure, where they have made the necessary changes for an efficient organization, but respecting the environment. The tourist can choose to stay in the country to enjoy the contact with nature, to know the products of organic and integrated farming, handicraft of excellent quality. The Municipality of Montelabbate, using from years advanced techniques of biological control, especially in the field of fruit, has become the "king" of the peach. This, the most valuable agricultural product, since May 2011, has the mark of protection "Peach of Montelabbate" in the promotion and protection of typicalness. This peach is known and appreciated for decades both locally and nationally because it has found in the rural area, favourable conditions of cultivation, giving to the fruit features particularly tasty and sugary.
The municipal administration, in 2014 provided for the granting, for a period of five years, of 18 urban gardens located in the Municipality, the initiative aims to stimulate and increase the sense of belonging to the community, creating paths of active citizenship as opportunities for social gathering that promote interpersonal relationships, knowledge and the enhancement of the urban environment and to meet the social demand for "landscape" recovering public spaces with a social purpose and also aesthetic improvement of the urban landscape, increasing efficiency and enhancing the concept of common good against degradation, the consumption of the territory and for environmental protection.
