DESCRIPTION
The municipalities of Fermignano, Saltara and Serrungarina were among the first to join as partners in the project of establishment of the first integrated District, in Italy, of the social economy that has twofold purpose: on one hand, spread the social economy at local and national institutions; on the other, to promote the construction of shared political oriented to the sustainability and development of the area and its local communities. The investment, on sustainable and shared local development models, aims to produce a widespread improvement in the levels of quality of life and social cohesion in the communities. The district promotes cultural activities, research, communication, projects aimed at building a widespread prosperity, the enhancement of the ecosystem and the promotion of human and civil rights. It facilitates the activation of network and stable partnership between institutional and non-institutional stakeholders, and promotes cooperative and collaborative approaches between the different realities of a territory. It stands as interface and planning tool for local communities who want to revive an approach to public policies based on the ideas of sustainability, participation, equality, redistribution of resources and opportunities. The most important planning sectors are social tourism, sustainable and accessible; social policies and social innovation; public health policies; evaluation of public policies; socio-economic research; social agriculture and green economy; promotion of the artistic, cultural and landscape heritage; wellness, sport, leisure; cultural events; corporate social responsibility; innovative technologies related to the quality of life.
